Building Teams & The Right Culture With Erika Zeigyte

 If you want to go fast, you go alone. If you want to go far you have to build a team around you.

I think there are so many sayings about how important it is to have a strong performing team. They say if you want to go fast you go alone if you want to go far you have to build a team around you.

So you cannot really build a business without having a team.

Businesses That I Talk To Face Two Problems.

  1.  they can’t find the right people
  2.  the people they have on board are not performing 

What Causes These Problems

This might be a people problem or it might be an operational problem involving processes, leadership and management.

With people problems it’s caused by having the wrong people or the people that you have are not motivated.

When The Employees Lack Motivation.

Maybe they are the right people but they are not really motivated. I find that this is due to the employees not understanding why their work matters to the company as a whole.

How To Improve Employee Motivation

The best way is to simply communicate the vision and explain how their work fits into that vision.

The other factor is to determine whether or not the employee knows how to do what is expected from them.

That could be a problem of process or  training. The way to fix this is to look at and improve the training and onboarding programs or you fix your processes.

Then the third reason is they simply don’t know what they need to do.

The way to solve this is simply to improve the communications and that can be done by improving the way you communicate or which platforms you use to communicate with your teams.
