What Is Scalable Growth And Why Should We Care About It?

Scalable growth to me it’s a bit of a broad term but in the startup space especially you’re trying to identify your product market fit and and who your ideal customer is and what the product should look like, you can’t afford to just kind of be pushing a message when you really don’t know what that message should be

Scalable growth is looking at trying to find things that work essentially and then trying to scale them.

Maybe it’s content strategies or seo strategies or ppc strategies that you kind of get traction with and then scaling up in a way that allows them to reach a mass audience.

Find The Customer Pain Point & Develop Your Message

Everything needs to be intent based. Asking “where do people sit in levels of awareness”? Are they completely unaware or are they aware of the problem that they have?

Visualizing The Customer Journey

Lets use hiring managers as an example of one of our customers. If you think about the journey in which a hiring manager goes along.

The first thing they might say is, “How do I hire this person or that person?”

So we’ve worked on creating a series of guides that help people hire a particular role. 

We’ve done that at scale. We’ve produced hundreds upon hundreds of these guides that go into detail about how to hire a particular person.

These guides are in the form of informational web pages.

Intent Based Content Marketing

They might be thinking of hiring a growth marketer or a customer service representative so they’ll pop that into google and hopefully we show up for every role you might think of.

After consuming this content, these prospects are likely to think, “okay these people know all about skills testing”.

The next thing they do is start to compare us with our competition.

Developing A Unique Selling Proposition

Now we are concerned about communicating how and why we are different from the competition.

We need to have a Unique Selling Proposition and we demonstrate that through more content. In this case we would use comparison pages and other types of scalable content that will increase awareness.

Now We Provide The Tools That Prospects Need

The next thing that prospects are going to do is to look for a skills assessment for that particular role.

What we’ve done is created a library of pre-built skills assessments to help them get started and show them how that might look for that particular role.

That’s the scalable part. We create such a broad library of resources at every stage in the funnel that we continually are serving them with our content organically whenever they are in need of something that we can help them with. 

After All That Value, They Are Likely To Sign Up As Customers

Now we have nurtured them so much with value that they become willing to give us a go and do the free trial or sit on a demo where we add even more value to their business.
